Shake Milton. 22. player. 73. . F. SMU

Imagine Emmanuel Mudiay, in his senior season, next to Milton at SMU. Okay, now imagine that Mudiay, who has been a disappointment in the NBA, is not there and it’s just Milton. Cool. Now you’re as excited as I am.

Milton might be the most fun prospect to think about in the whole draft. Not only is he extremely long and tall, he can do a little of everything on the basketball court. Milton is averaging 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists this season. On defense, he is snagging 1.5 steals per game and nearly one block.

Those statistics are rounded out by his shooting numbers, which lie at .426/.391/.840 this season, after steadily creeping up during three college seasons. Milton has escalated his game this year, maintained or increased efficiency in every way, and done so while using drastically more of the Mustangs’ possessions. For the first time in his career, Milton’s usage percentage is above 20 (average for a five-man unit) all the way to 25.

The junior is probably not a lead ball-handler at the next level (for one, his handle is way too loose), but he could fit in so many roles that he is exciting.
