Shortly after calling the playoff game between the Titans and Chiefs and saying his goodbyes, the Oakland  Raiders have finally officially introduced Jon Gruden as their new head coach.

It has not been a secret as everyone knew Jon Gruden was going to be back with the Silver and Black next season. Rumors surfaced last Saturday before the Raiders final game of the season. After a week of waiting, possibly the biggest coaching move of the offseason is official. The Raiders are set to formally introduce Gruden during a press conference on Tuesday, but Gruden needs no introduction to Raider Nation.

Rumor has it that the Raiders are offering Gruden a 10-year $100 million contract, the largest in league history.  This seems like a bit much for someone who has not coached in nine years. Undoubtedly, the Raiders are going all in on Gruden. People in the Raiders organization believe that trading Gruden away was the biggest mistake Al Davis made. Perhaps this is Mark Davis trying to fix that.

Regardless, Gruden is a terrific offensive mind and he has only gotten more knowledgeable since stepping away from coaching. His annual quarterback camp, as well as production meetings and film studies, have helped him sharpen his understanding of the game. He has hinted at wanting to return to the sidelines, but nothing ever materialized.

Next: Why Jon Gruden is a brilliant hire for the Raiders

This time it is really happening, and Raiders fans should be excited. Chucky is coming back to the bay to take care of some unfinished business. If anyone can get Derek Carr back on track, it is Gruden. If the Raiders can fix their defense they will be a very scary team. Gruden is the perfect match for Oakland and will bring several talented coaches with him. The time is now for Oakland, they finally have their coach.
