The complete schedule and times for short track speedskating at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics.

Everybody set your alarm clocks and start the day with short track. The U.S. Olympic team is lead by new head coaches and stocked with veteran Olympians. Three-time medalist J.R. Celski leads the men and 2010 Olympian Katherine Reutter-Adamek and 2014 Olympian Jessica Kooreman head up a formidable U.S. women’s squad, but the name that has everyone a-buzz is Maame Biney, the 17-year-old who became the first black woman to make an Olympic speedskating team after sweeping the trials in December.

(She races the 500 m; book it now.) (Biney’s since been joined by Erin Jackson, who races the long track and only picked up the sport four months ago. Casual.)

Before we get to the scheduling at hand: some Pyeongchang time change housekeeping. Korea Time, the time zone in which the 2018 Olympics find themselves, is 14 hours ahead of Eastern Time. NBC, in their infinite wisdom, has decided they will air all the games live, without a tape delay. However, this can make reading the schedule somewhat confusing.

For example, all the short track races that take place at 7 p.m in Pyeongchang, meaning they will air at the early hour of 5 a.m. EST. It’s slightly more complex for other sports with a variety of start times. Morning events become evening events, primetime events become crack-of-dawn events and afternoon events, well, they become middle of the night viewing.

The schedule below lists the official Korea dates and times and then their U.S. eastern standard time translations. Times are pulled from the NBC Olympics schedule for start times and the official Pyeongchang 2018 schedule for event times.
