FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 9, 2018
High Value PG
J.J. Barea, DAL vs ORL ($6,200): Barea was a rare value miss on Sunday, contributing just 19.9 fantasy points against the Knicks. He’s hit value in 73 percent of games this year, showing great reliability. The Magic are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Given how good Barea has been this season and this matchup, expect him to be back up to value (26.5 fantasy points) and then some on Tuesday. ***
Shabazz Napier, POR at OKC ($4,800): Damian Lillard has already been ruled out for Tuesday’s game, which means Napier will draw the start. In five starts this season, he’s averaging 37.5 fantasy points. He continues to step up with Lillard out of the lineup and there’s no reason to think he won’t do it again on Tuesday. He puts up numbers in all categories and the Thunder defense has been shaky as of late. Given the salary, he’ll be over value and then some. *****
Delon Wright, TOR vs MIA ($4,800): Wright’s value is really dependent on Kyle Lowry’s status. Lowry went down with a back injury on Monday and his status is questionable as of this writing. Given the spill he took and the fact that the Raptors are on a back-to-back, chances are they’ll hold Lowry out. That means Wright will draw the start and see big minutes. He’s been good as the backup in recent games and he’ll do just fine as the starter on a low salary. *****
