Bobsleigh is one of the more iconic Winter Olympics events. It’s been chronicled in various movies like Cool Runnings, featuring a Jamaican team competing in their first Winter Games.
This year there is a similar story, with Nigeria sending a bobsled team to the 2018 Winter Olympics, and they surely will be fan favorites this year.
The bobsled, or bobsleigh, event is comprised of three different medal events. There is the two-man, four-man and women’s bobsled events. All three gold medals will be handed out over the course of a week, each event taking two days to complete over a series of four timed runs.
NBC is the official television network of the Olympics and will be broadcasting the games over their vast network of channels, including NBC Sports Network. NBC will also have Olympic events on demand since many of them occur over night when it’s daylight in South Korea. The games can also be streamed live on the NBC Sports App.
