Welcome back y’all for the fourth edition of Take 5! We need to get y’all the best value for your team. There are some Fantasy Basketball Trades that people would consider. Let’s debate, discuss and argue!

I have made a lot of trades this year. Below are some worth to consider or I would trade for and vice versa. Trades are hard to do in Fantasy Basketball, because depending what place you are in, you get too attached to your players. I made that to not be the case this year. I’m not attached to anyone.

By the way, not everyone is going to agree with these trades and that’s fine, but at least hear me out. The other team may not budge and may make a counter instead, which is what you want, because you enticed them or made them bite! And, if they don’t like it they will counter with another offer in their favor or possibly a fair deal. Who knows, but make sure you get what you want. It’s not about them, it’s about you.

Here are trades that I would make or consider on both sides depending where you stand (yes, I have made some of these trades).

Fantasy Basketball Trades: DeAndre Jordan for Kristaps Porzingis

There is really no lose, lose in this situation, and given no one gets injured. If both remain healthy no one loses. This is a great fair trade for both. The only difference is Porzingis can go off any night, but is also inconsistent at times. He will give you 40 points then the next get like 10 points, and 30 points the next. While DeAndre gives you stability, healthy and consistent day in and day out. Only reason to trade for Porzingis is if you’re approaching that deadline and need more points.

Fantasy Basketball Trades: Nikola Jokic for Tyreke Evans

I think this is almost as fair as they come in terms of value and trade here. If you need a guard/wing then Evans is a good fit here. Or if you need a big man here Jokic can be your guy. Evans tends to score a little more, but both are stat fillers across the board. They have stats in

almost every category and triple double threats. It’s fair trade for points and standard leagues. They both are a little injury prone at well. So, it goes without saying how fair this is. There is no lose, lose in this trade.

Fantasy Basketball Trades: DeMar DeRozan for Devin Booker

This is more of me thinking about the future here with having DeRozan. I can see the team deciding to sit DeRozan when I’m making my championship run, so I want to prepare for that and getting someone of equal value. To me, Booker is that player. Almost the same ppg and close in percentages. Down that last week stretch I would rather have Booker with the fear of DeRozan resting for Playoffs or not getting as much time.

Fantasy Basketball Trades: Nikola Vucevic for Marc Gasol

Both are solid players and consistent, however Vucevic is having a great year this year. But, Gasol is a better player when Conley is healthy. They feed off one another and their game just elevates. No risks here both are rewards, it’s who you like better. I like both, but Gasol is the all-around guy here. However, same case can be made for Vucevic with his triple double this year. I’m giving y’all the option who would you rather have.

Fantasy Basketball Trades: Andrew Wiggins for Zach LaVine

I would make this trade on both sides, one Wiggins is healthy and ready to go and I don’t have to wait for limited time Zach LaVine and is producing but nowhere near last year. However, it’s more of a risk for LaVine, given when healthy what are going to see after limited minutes is off, will he start to take off? I think so, and he’s a starter. After the All-Star Break I believe we are going to see his minutes go up. But, given how Wiggins has played he won’t be the fourth option in Chicago he will be more first or second, he has the capability of producing better than Wiggins. It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Fantasy Basketball Trades: Tyreke Evans or Jimmy Butler for Khris Middleton

I know it’s Take 5, but I’m throwing a bonus trade in there. Only reason I’m mentioning this trade is if you have Evans or Butler given their track record may want to trade them or let it ride with them. Reason being is Evans has been known to be injury prone and Butler teaming up with his old coach is playing the starters extensive minutes is an injury waiting to happen. And, has yet to play a full season with any team. Why Khris Middleton is a good person to trade here. Proven track record of being almost fully healthy minus last season. And is very consistent. I trust Middleton more than the others.

There are other trades to consider out there too, these are just some to get you going or could work for you and your team. I can give you my opinion on other trades, feel free to reach out!
