The life of an NBA rookie can be tough. Even tougher when you’ve got a jokester like Giannis Antetokounmpo on your team.

It’s not easy being an NBA rookie. In addition to adjusting to travel, practice, new teammates, new coaches, and suddenly competing at the absolute highest level of the sport, rookies are often subject to some good-natured ribbing from their veteran teammates. This can include being forced to carry or dress in strange items and doing chores and tasks for more senior players.

And if a player falls behind on those rookie duties, they might be subject to repercussions that might be a bit more drastic. Take, for example, Sterling Brown of the Milwaukee Bucks, whose Hummer was filled to the brim with popcorn.

No one takes responsibility for the prank but Giannis Antetokounmpo is certainly leading the charge on the video teasing. He’s been known to be a bit of a jokester and this certainly seems like it would fit with his sense of humor.

The big question now is whether the popcorn was flavored with real or artificial buttering. Both are likely to leave some serious grease stains in the upholstery but the artificial stuff has a distinct odor to it that no amount of pine tree air fresheners would ever cover up. At this point, it’s probably best if Brown just takes this one to the junkyard.

It’s also nice to see Jabari Parker in the video, joining in on the fun. He’s been recovering from a torn ACL since last December but is expected to rejoin the team on the court before the All-Star Break. His return would be a welcome addition to a team that could use some frontcourt scoring pop as they look to push for a strong finish and deep playoff run.
