DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2018
High Salary C
DeMarcus Cousins, NO vs CHI ($10,900): Cousins has been over value in five straight games. The Bulls are 12th against centers in their last 15 games. Cousins had 49.75 fantasy points against the Bulls on Nov. 4. That number would put him slightly over value on Monday as he needs 47.4 fantasy points to his value. Cousins has been a strong play all season and I see no reason why they won’t continue against Chicago. He should push 50 fantasy points once again. ****
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at LAC ($9,500): Towns has been minutes in three of his last four. He got into foul trouble in the first half against the Raptors, but had a strong second half. He always plays big minutes and should continue to see an increase in usage with Jimmy Butler out of the lineup. The Clippers are 29th against the position in their last 15 games. Towns is averaging 44 fantasy points in two games against the Clippers this season. Assuming he stays out of foul trouble and Butler is out once again, expect a big night for Towns. *****
Dwight Howard, CHA vs SAC ($8,100): Howard has been over value in four straight. However, he did miss value on Jan. 2 against the Kings, posting 34 fantasy points in that contest. He should have a much easier time on Monday as he’ll be playing at home, where the Hornets as a whole play better. Howard certainly plays better at home, averaging 39.2 fantasy points in Charlotte compared to 32.7 fantasy points on the road. Howard should easily get a double-double with big scoring and rebounding number to go along with a handful of blocks. *****
