DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2018
High Salary PG
Chris Paul, HOU vs MIA ($9,700): Paul had 65.75 fantasy points against the Warriors on Saturday. He’s missed value just once in his last eight games. James Harden appears to be off of his minutes restriction, which will start to cut into Paul’s value. The Rockets teammates are likely to go back-and-forth in terms of fantasy games. Paul has the hot hand right now, so they’ll ride that out as long as they can. I always like Paul more than Harden just because of his lower salary. *****
John Wall, WAS at DAL ($9,400): Wall has missed value in his last two games, but this is a great matchup for him. The Mavericks are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Wall had 51.25 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Nov. 7. That game was awhile ago and tough to put much stock into, but it goes to show the kind of game Wall can deliver against this team. He’s been inconsistent this season, hitting value in 57 percent of games. He should be over value in this one given the matchup. ***
Kemba Walker, CHA vs SAC ($7,700): Maybe it’s the trade rumors, but Walker had 42.25 fantasy points against the Heat on Saturday. The Kings are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. Walker had 38 fantasy points in 30 minutes against the Kings on Jan. 2. He needs 35.1 fantasy points to hit value on Monday. Given the matchup and Walker’s chip on his shoulder, I expect a big night for the Charlotte point guard. I would not be shocked to see him for 10+ fantasy points over value against the Kings. *****
