NBA Power Rankings: The Clippers keep coming
By Daniel Lewis
Devin Booker exploded for 43 points, breaking out of a short January slump against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. It wasn’t enough to help end the Suns losing streak, as they couldn’t contain Portland on defense, dropping the game 118-111. Booker had four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, getting so hot that Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts had to put his starters back out, but they couldn’t overcome the 27-point hole they dug themselves into.
The Suns had a great game against the Nuggets, with their offense firing on all cylinders. Devin Booker got up for his matchup against another former Wildcat, and scored 30 points, outdueling Jamal Murray and the Nuggets for a 108-100 win. T.J. Warren had 25 points, scoring in transition and cooking Wilson Chandler and Will Barton without much effort. Josh Jackson had a great night too, knocking in 16 points with two 3-pointers.
Don’t be too surprised to see Greg Monroe on another team come March.
