High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins, NO at CHA ($12,500): If Cousins scores 90+ fantasy points again, I’ll eat my hat. While that likely won’t happen, there is no reason why he can’t put up 50+ fantasy points, given that he’s done it all season. He needs 54.7 fantasy points to hit value, which does seem a little high, although I’m not doubting the man after what he did on Monday. I like Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,300) to have a good night if you’re looking for a cheaper option who could produce a big game. But Cousins has to be recommended after Monday’s performance. ****

Joel Embiid, PHI vs CHI ($11,000): The Bulls just gave up 97 fantasy points against Cousins. Embiid isn’t quite the best center in the league like Cousins is, but he’s well on his way. Embiid has missed value in two straight, struggling against the Grizzlies, but you have to like his prospects after what we saw against Chicago on Monday. With the Sixers missing some frontcourt guys, expect Embiid to get plenty of touches. ****

Rudy Gobert, UTA at DET ($7,900): Gobert has hit value in all three games since return. He’s slowing getting back into playing shape and the matchup is solid. The Pistons are 14th against the position in their last 15 games. Just about every center has a tough matchup on Wednesday. Gobert is no exception, going up against Andre Drummond, but he has a low enough salary to where he can outperform expectations where others may struggle to hit value. ***
