How to watch WWE CEO Vince McMahon’s announcement regarding Alpha Entertainment via a live stream, which is potentially the unveiling of the XFL.

Rumors have been swirling for months that Vince McMahon is preparing to relaunch a new version of the XFL, which was a controversial football league from the turn of the millennium. And it looks like McMahon is ready to make the official announcement with a short-notice press conference scheduled for Thursday.

Full press release:

You can watch the announcement below. Stay tuned to FanSided for more details from the announcement once it begins.

A December statement sent to reporter David Bixenspan said McMahon established Alpha Entertainment to “explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.” There could be the potential for XFL like leagues in other sports, but all indications and reports seem to focus squarely on football.

CBS’s Adam Silverstein confirmed that the announcement is the second coming of the XFL and also reports that the league isn’t expected to begin until 2020. That is relatively far off in the future, but something of this size would take some time to build and prepare for.

McMahon is wise to take his time and try to launch the XFL on more sound footing, the first iteration of the XFL lasted a single season.

So, where is Vince McMahon getting the money to fund another XFL?  He sold 3.34 million WWE shares for $100 million in part to fund Alpha Entertainment.
