The one position that the Miami Dolphins have tried and failed to address is the tight end position. That could end with a player like Jimmy Graham.

As a former Pro Bowler and the NFL’s leader in tight end touchdown, Graham would immediately change the Dolphins offense. Paired with DaVante Parker and Kenny Stills on the outside, Graham would have plenty of room to operate in the middle of the field. He would also make a good replacement for what Landry does if he should leave in free agency.

Graham is also familiar with the area. After starting his career as a basketball player at the University of Miami, Graham transitioned to football and succeeded only playing one season. He was drafted in the third round by the New Orleans Saints. They subsequently traded him to Seattle where he struggled to fit in. Regardless of his struggles, he has always been a touchdown machine.

Miami was in the bottom half of the league in red zone scoring this past season. One way to fix that is by throwing a big body, touchdown machine like Graham into the mix. He makes his money in that area of the field, which is where Miami struggles.

The return of Tannehill would be aided by Graham’s arrival. Again, like most players on this list, the Dolphins cap situation could price them out of this process. Graham could take a pay cut to return to where he played in college, but that is unlikely. The Dolphins should do everything they can to grab someone like Graham and strengthen their offense.
