With the 12th week of the college basketball season in the books, here’s what the AP Top 25 rankings might look like for Week 13.

College basketball is flat-out crazy. One week, a team looks unbeatable and the next that same team looks like it can’t catch a break. It’s been a wild season and that’s mostly because there isn’t one dominant teams in the country.

There are a handful of very good teams, but no squad looks untouchable. The true contenders are beginning to separate themselves from the pack while there are a group of solid teams that could make a run in March, but it’s unlikely they will win the national title.

So who are the contenders right now? It looks like Villanova, Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, Purdue and Virginia lead the way. There are some teams like Xavier, Arizona, Texas Tech and Oklahoma who have also made strong cases for the best team in the country, but that top-tier has been relatively unwavering.

Duke and Kansas lost in Week 12 which makes the top-five for Week 13 look different yet again. It seems like we haven’t had a single week with a clean top-five with no losses or changes since conference play has fired back up.

That might not change any time soon.

On top of that, the SEC-Big 12 Challenge shook things up and teams like Kentucky pulled off shocking upsets. The Wildcats will be back in the AP Top 25 this week after beating No. 7 West Virginia  on the road.

What will the rest of the Week 13 Top 25 rankings look like?
