Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman and Kane collided for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.

In the second-to-last match of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, before the Women’s Rumble, Brock Lesnar defended the WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Kane in a Triple Threat match. With one world title bout already set for WrestleMania 34, who would move one step closer toward the Grandest Stage of Them All from Raw?

A match between these three behemoths had carnage written all over it, especially with Lesnar and Strowman, two of the WWE’s most physically gifted superstars, involved in the fray. They certainly delivered the goods, too.

The Monster Among Men moved at 100 MPH to start the match, firing away at both of his opponents and taking a clear advantage. He even punched a chair out of Lesnar’s hands. When does that ever happen?

So what did Strowman do next? He had Lesnar on the ground, on the outside of the ring, in pain and broke out the steel steps. Then, to please the crowd, the former Wyatt Family member took out two tables. Again, everything moved at 100 MPH and was nonstop action from the start.

The Beast Incarnate became the first victim of the tables, as Strowman put him through it, following a standoff and battle with Kane. The crowd, still tired from the Men’s Royal Rumble match, did not rise to its feet much for this, until the latter stages of the match when the action went to the announcer’s table; Lesnar F-5’d Strowman through the German table and even tossed the American table on top of the fallen monster. Kane suffered a similar fate.

Nothing keeps Strowman down, though. He removed the announcer’s table like it was nothing and reentered the ring at full strength, leading to a one-on-one. Kane recovered fast, as well, but ended up taking an F-5 on a chair. Lesnar followed with a successful pinfall to retain the Universal Championship.

Even with an exhausted crowd, Lesnar, Strowman and Kane delivered a match that was different from the others seen on Sunday night. However, much like the past nine months, it had the same result, with Lesnar remaining the Universal Champion. Strowman teased that he wanted more, as he said “You didn’t pin me!” after the match. Does that mean these two will clash soon?
