  • High School: Mater Dei
  • Composite Ranking: No. 54, No. 4 ILB

If there is one guarantee in life, the Mater Dei football program is going to produce some of the best recruits in the state of California. Solomon Tuliaupupu is yet another recruit from the program that seems a lock for USC.

The 6’2″ linebacker can move sideline to sideline and will bring some havoc to the backfield as well. The Trojans have had a fine history recruiting out of Mater Dei before and this seems like yet another perfect union.

With the speed in the Pac-12 conference on the offensive side of the ball, having a linebacker with the ability to move around is absolutely necessary. The Trojans have a long tradition of recruiting some of the best linebackers in the nation.

This is as close to a guarantee of a prediction for National Signing Day as there will be. Tuliaupupu is going to play for USC and it won’t be surprising to see him get some meaningful snaps early in his career.

As mentioned, USC tends to do a great job cleaning up on the uncommitted recruits on National Signing Day. The local players are going to have a hard time passing them up for somewhere else.

Prediction: USC
