With the NFL season in Super Bowl Week, teams are looking towards the 2018 NFL Draft, especially after a stellar Senior Bowl this past weekend.

With the Senior Bowl in the rearview mirror, we turn our attention back to the 2018 NFL Draft. The big name players in the Senior Bowl made their presence felt, as guys like Josh Allen really turned heads during the festivities. He has a long way to go in terms of being a can’t-miss prospect, but he sure showed he has the arm to make all the throws at the next level.

Due to the fact they lost every game they played last season, the Cleveland Browns will pick first overall for the second straight year. They have a ton of needs going into next season, but with a solid general manager in place, this could be the draft where they turn things around. It is in Cleveland that we begin our latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.

player. 53. . Quarterback. UCLA. Josh Rosen. 1

While Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield got a lot of the publicity during the Senior Bowl, it is a quarterback who did not play in the game that takes the top spot this week. Josh Rosen from UCLA is the most NFL-ready quarterback in this draft class, and new general manager John Dorsey may want to go the safest route with the first overall pick in the draft. Rosen is a heady quarterback, who has the arm to make all the throws, and the moxie to be a solid player at the next level.

During his time at UCLA, Rosen struggled at times with staying healthy, though he would have the best left tackle in the game if he goes to Cleveland. He also made some questionable decisions with his throws, which is mostly due to the fact he really had no running game to speak of during his collegiate career. The Browns need someone who is going to help them win right away, and Rosen is the quarterback in this draft class that could easily start from Day One.

This is the second straight year the Browns have picked first overall, as they went with Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett at No. 1 last year. Garrett has proven to be a very worthy selection so far in his NFL career, and the hope is the team can hit a home run again picking first. This pick is going to be scrutinized up until draft night in April, but as it stands now, Rosen looks to be the right choice with the top pick.
