The father of three daughters tried to attack Larry Nassar in the courtroom after the judge refused to allow him to have several minutes locked in a closed room with Nassar as part of the sentencing.

Former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar has been going through sentencing stemming from the sexual assualt of young women over years. He was previously sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison.

On Thursday, a father of three victims tried to run across the courtroom to attack Nassar before being detained and subdued by bailiffs.

“I would ask you to, as part of the sentencing, grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon,” he asked. “Would you do that?”

After his initial request was denied, he asked for one minute.

The judge again responded no, as expected, and explains that’s not how the legal system works. That’s when he rushed toward Nassar as he mumbled something about “having to” before being subdued by bailiffs in the room.

As he is being subdued, the father continues to ask for time with him.

“I want that son of a b***h,” he yells. “Give me one minute with that bastard.”

Clearly, this is not the right way to go about things within the legal system. It’s easy to sympathize with his emotions in what has to be an incredibly difficult situation for the father. Hopefully, his actions don’t result in significant penalties or even imprisonment that could do more damage to his daughters than they’ve already endured.
