Danica Patrick reveals GoDaddy paint scheme for Daytona 500

You won’t be able to miss Danica Patrick when she makes her NASCAR farewell thanks to perhaps the brightest paint scheme of her career.
In a GoDaddy press release today, Danica Patrick called the paint scheme she’ll be racing in the 2018 Daytona 500 “kind of like ‘back to the future,'” and she’s not wrong.
Patrick will be taking the No. 7 GoDaddy Chevrolet Camaro for her final laps as a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver, and as you can see above and below, it’s chock full of the famous GoDaddy shade of just shy of neon green. It’s a little less busy than some of the scheme she raced in while representing the company earlier in his career, and it definitely thumbs its nose at the old driver superstitions about green cars.
Warrior by Danica Patrick, the driver’s own apparel line that appeared on her hood a few times last season, has its logo on the quarter panels.
“It all feels so right,” Patrick said in the press release. “So many people spend their lives doing what others expect, or what they think they are supposed to do, instead of what they love – side hustles and hobbies tend to be a reflection of where your real passions are, and it’s about time for me to go all in with my other interests beyond racing.”
GoDaddy was also Patrick’s sponsor when she had what was arguably her career highlight as a NASCAR Cup Series driver, as she claimed the pole for the 2013 Daytona 500 and then brought her No. 10 Chevrolet home eighth. it was her only pole and one of just seven top-10 finishes in NASCAR’s top circuit, but it still gave Danica a place in the history books as the first female driver ever to post the fastest qualifying time for a Cup Series race.

Whether she’ll be able to perform at anywhere near the same level with the Premium Motorsports bunch is an open question, but without the pressure of racing for points, Patrick will be able to let it all hang out for the best possible Daytona 500 finish. We’ll surely be able to spot her in the draft with ease on Feb. 18.
