There is some overlap between Melton and current Bucks Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon, but those are the types of players who are perfect playing next to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks have seen firsthand this year how easy Antetokounmpo can make life for his teammates, and how young players can be successful rather quickly playing with someone who occupies so much defensive attention. Melton is another 3-and-D guard with play-making upside who could slide into a contributing role quickly for Milwaukee.
Despite missing what would be his sophomore season due to concerns stemming from the FBI’s investigation into NCAA recruiting, Melton is one of the more intriguing two-way guards in the draft.
Shooting is a concern for him, but he has always been willing to shoot and is young enough to get much better.
