Not only are the Jacksonville Jaguars going to be without tarps for their seven home games in 2018, but London’s Finest are also getting new uniforms.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off their best season in over a decade. Not only did the Jaguars make the AFC playoffs for the first time since 2007, but they made it all the way to the 2017 AFC Championship as AFC South Division winners. It’s a good time to be a Jaguars fan for sure.

To make things even better for Duval County, it is being reported that the Jaguars will no longer have tarps on the upper deck of EverBank Field in 2018 for their seven home games. They have some sweep opponents coming town, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. Those should be some outstanding ball games between the teams of the upper echelon of the AFC.

Even more exciting news, the Jaguars will be debuting new uniforms in 2018. So what on Planet Earth could that mean? Jacksonville introduced new uniforms shortly after owner Shahid Khan bought the team in 2012. The Jaguars definitely kept the signature teal of theirs, but adopted a unique two-tone helmet. Are those to stay down in Duval County?

Whatever direction the Jaguars go in aesthetically, it will surely be on the cutting edge of NFL fashion we just weren’t sure they were ready for. This could be a way for Khan to make more money off Jacksonville’s best season, arguably ever, or at least since 1999.

Let’s also keep in mind that Jacksonville’s AFC South rival in the Tennessee Titans will be debuting new uniforms in 2018 as well. Tennessee’s uniform change seems to be more of a total rebrand than the Jaguars, but abrupt uniform changes will only add pettiness to the best AFC South rivalry we are all just now getting into.

While the Jaguars won the AFC South for the first time ever in 2017, they were swept in the season series by Tennessee. The Titans handled the Jaguars down in Duval in Week 2. Since Jacksonville had already clinched the AFC South by their Week 17 meeting in Nashville, the Titans played with more conviction as they had a Wild Card berth on the line. So whose uniform will be better in 2018: Jacksonville’s or Tennessee’s? We can’t wait to see whose threads are the best come next fall.
