Dirk Nowitzki became the sixth player in NBA history to play 50,000 career minutes, reaching the mark against the L.A. Clippers on Monday. While Nowizki was able to chip in 12 points, but his team saw the Clippers score the final 13 points of the game and Dallas lost, 104-101. Dennis Smith Jr. had 22 points, including a big dunk over Draymond Green, but the Mavericks were defeated by the Warriors on Thursday, 121-103. Doug McDermott had eight points in his first game as a Maverick, and Dallas picked up a 130-123 victory over the Lakers on Saturday to improve to 18-38 on the season.
Oh, and Dirk dunked for the first time this season, and then sat out the next game.
