The New Orleans Saints franchise hit some hard times the last three seasons, as they won only seven games in each campaign. In 2017, all of that turned around, as Drew Brees and company found themselves back in the playoffs. Instead of making Brees throw the ball 50 times a game, the Saints started running the ball with authority, as the tandem of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara ended up being one of the best in the league.

In addition to the running game, the Saints also relied on a remarkable defense in 2017. Rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore turned out to be an absolute steal, as he was one of the best corners in the entire league. This team is built to be good for a very long time, and it is almost a definite that they will be able to lock Brees up on a deal that will enable him to end his career in the Bayou.

When it comes time for the Saints to draft in the first round in April, they may want to add a pass catching tight end. Brees and Jimmy Graham were nearly unstoppable during their time together, and Oklahoma’s Mark Andrews has that same kind of game. Adding him to a team that is already dominant on the ground will make this offense very special next season, and the Saints finally have the defense to stop people going forward.
