Black Panther is already being hailed as a triumph for the MCU, so fans are naturally wondering when Black Panther’s next appearance will come.

Based on the early reviews and the box office projectionsBlack Panther is nothing short of a blockbuster. Combine that with the hype generated by the trailers and fans already can’t wait to see Chadwick Boseman suit up again in Black Panther’s next appearance, even before they’ve seen him his own film. So the big question is simple: When will we see Black Panther next?

Fortunately, anxious fans don’t have to wait long. The king of Wakanda will grace the big screen nationwide on May 4, when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters. Other than his minor role in Captain America: Civil War, we haven’t seen much of T’Challa yet. So until the Black Panther end credits fly by, all we can do know is speculate. The trailer for the supersized superhero team-up reveals quite a few intense, jaw-dropping scenes set in the fictional African nation.

First, we catch a quick glimpse of the Hulkbuster armor and its pilot (potential Infinity War spoilers) in an open field. Next, we see Black Panther and the superhero formerly known as Captain America fighting an onslaught of aliens. Presumably Thanos’ goons. The third look is a shot of Bucky, T’Challa, and a legion of Wakandan soldiers preparing for battle. This is followed by a sweeping arial shot of Falcon in action. We get one final look at Wakanda, and it is a doozy. It’s a dramatic, Baywatch-esque scene featuring Bucky, Black Widow, “Captain America,” War Machine, Hulk, and Black Panther, flanked by the Wakandan army.

It’s not too much of a stretch to say that Black Panther’s next appearance in the MCU will be an important one. The most logical guess, and the one I’m most fond of, is that the last Infinity Stone, the Soul Stone, is located somewhere in Wakanda. Naturally, Thanos needs this. So he’s obviously going to deploy most of his forces to the hidden nation to retrieve it, which is why most of the pivotal action sequences will take place in Wakanda.

Next: Who is in the Hulkbuster armor in Infinity War?

Again, this is all just speculation. The post-credit scenes will likely (definitely) shed more light on exactly how Black Panther fits in the MCU. See the king in action on Feb. 16 in Black Panther before he joins the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4.
