Will there be a Black Panther sequel?
Black Panther has everyone raving as one of the best Marvel movies in their lauded Cinematic Universe, but will there be a sequel?
Since the release of the first trailer, Black Panther has seemingly been destined to be a smash-hit with the potential to break box office records. Granted, that’s the case with any movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or even just superhero movies. However, with the way that Ryan Coogler has brought a relatively untold story to life in this film, the game has been changed.
Not only is Black Panther set to make boatloads of money, but it’s been beloved by most everyone. From the first screenings to even people who just saw the trailer, movie-goers and critics alike have raved about it for the majority of the population. It’s not just a money-maker for the Marvel studios. It’s also a film that has a chance to be one of their best ever.
With that kind of praise and performance at the box office, though. It’s understandable that fans would want to see more. And, considering that executives enjoy beefing up their bank accounts, you’d have to think they wouldn’t mind that either. But is there actually going to be a sequel to Black Panther?
As of right now, there’s nothing official about a Black Panther sequel out there. Having said that, there are multiple signs that it’s not only possible, but will happen.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Coogler opined a bit about potentially doing a sequel, saying that he would be interested to see where the story would go from here given changes from the comic books. That’s certainly a good sign, though not a guarantee.
When you get down to it, though, the film industry is about making money, and Black Panther is set to do that in a massive way. At that level, it’s hard to think that Marvel won’t find a place for a sequel.
