The United States is facing a critical match this Saturday night when they take on Japan in men’s curling.

It hasn’t been the greatest start for the Americans in men’s curling to this point. They did win their opening game but have followed that up with losses to Italy and Sweden. The loss to Italy was a particularly tough one to swallow, as the USA came back form a 6-1 deficit just to lose on the last throw of the match by mere inches. Japan has fared slightly better although the schedule has seen them only play two matches early. They lost to Great Britain and defeated Norway to stand at 1-1 through the first two matches.

For anyone that hasn’t watched the sport yet, it’s very easy to pick up the rules and scoring. What makes the game challenging is the strategy involved between the two teams. They cold see their strategy go by the wayside in a single throw and have to adjust on the fly. Curling is played on ice, after all. Things don’t always go according to plan. Every curling match is very different.

Since curling isn’t exactly considered a glamour sport at the Olympics so coverage on actual television is spotty at best. Fortunately, it’s extremely easy to find streaming wise and be able to watch the match from start to finish. Each match does have its own unique live stream leaving the fans with their choice of matches to view. It’s always nice to know you won’t miss a single throw from the country you’re rooting for.
