Sweden will face Japan in the first of the two Olympics women’s hockey classification games. Here’s how you can watch via live stream.

On Saturday, Feb. 17, the fifth-place bracket of the Olympics women’s hockey tournament will get underway. This means the beginning of the classification games. These games help determine the future rankings, including the qualification for the next Olympics. Sweden and Japan will start their action on Sunday beginning at 2:40 p.m. ET.

The two sides last faced in the opening game of the preliminary round. Sweden beat Japan 2-1, but the latter nearly pulled off the upset. So expect this to be another hotly contested game. Sweden is in the classification game after losing to Finland 7-2.

Meanwhile, Japan is in the fifth-place bracket because they finished third in Group B. Only the top two teams from Group B advance to the medal round. Japan is the team with more rest, as Sweden just played earlier on Saturday.

Sweden will be coming into the fifth-place bracket very motivated. It was expecting to at least make it to the semifinals of the medal round. This would have given it a shot at going home with a bronze medal. But Finland won easily. On the other side of the ice, a win over Sweden would mean a lot for Japan, which is quickly growing its women’s hockey program.

Japan comes into this game with a tad bit of momentum. They beat Korea in their last game and, as mentioned earlier, rest could be a good thing for them after a tough preliminary round. Sweden won their last matchup against Japan, but anything goes during a classification game. Both countries are playing for a more favorable IIHF ranking, which means a lot for the two countries.
