Russell Westbrook is trying to make it very clear to Lakers fans he intends to keep Paul George as his teammate on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The All-Star break is here and the players get a little bit of time to relax and enjoy the weekend’s festivities. Saturday afternoon is media availability for the All-Stars, and you usually get some good questions that aren’t related specifically to a player’s team.

Obviously, with the All-Star game being held in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George being an All-Star, you can imagine there will be a lot of Lakers-related questions surrounding his future.

Then a “we want Paul” chant broke out during Russell Westbrook’s presser, but he shut that excitement down pretty quick.

If you couldn’t hear Westbrook’s response, he says: “That’s out! Paul ain’t going nowhere. It’s over for that.”

The best part about his reaction is the chants actually stopping right after he said George to LA talk was over. This is peak Westbrook because he’s not going to just lay down in any scenario, including when Lakers fans want to steal a guy who could help Westbrook win a title.

Westbrook made it very clear he intends to keep his teammate in Oklahoma City.

George is having a pretty incredible season and along with being an All-Star this season, he’s also competing in the three-point contest for the second time in his career. The difference between that prior appearance and this one is George having a historical season shooting the ball. George actually credits Westbrook as a big reason for his career high in three-point percentage this year.

George is set to be a free agent this summer and has a very tough decision to make. Stay in Oklahoma City with a guy who clearly has his back no matter what or go home and play in Los Angeles. The choice is his but it looks like Westbrook is pretty set on him staying in Thunder blue.
