With the 15th week of the college basketball season in the books, here’s what the AP Top 25 rankings might look like for Week 16.

With each passing week, it becomes obvious that the 2017-18 college basketball season is going to end with a surprise. Although the eventual national champion might not be a shot, the NCAA Tournament’s first weekend could be a blur with a number of top teams on upset alert.

A couple of top-five teams lost once again in Week 15 and the top-10 will receive yet another shakeup. It seems like we’ve had a new top-10, even a fresh top-five, each week and the Week 16 poll will be no different.

If you love college basketball and upsets, you might want to pay attention in March, because there are going to be plenty. If the regular season is any indication of what’ll happen in the NCAA Tournament, no team will be safe in the first round and Cinderellas will run rampant.

Is there any team that can be trusted this year? It looked like Duke at the beginning of the season, but the Blue Devils have come back down to earth a bit. Then it was Villanova, but the Wildcats have lost a couple of “layup” games against Providence and St. John’s and now people are riding the Virginia bandwagon, but are the Cavaliers really the best team in the land?

Michigan State was another team that people said they could trust, but in the first 20 minutes against an average Northwestern team on Saturday afternoon, the Spartans were down by 22 points. They ended up coming back to win, but will that kind of lapse in play happen in March? It’s tough to say.

What should the Week 16 AP Top 25 look like?
