The Pelicans have won 11 of their past 12 against the Pistons, and it didn’t matter who was checking Davis tonight, with the former Kentucky big man having his way against their defense. Nikola Mirotic had 21 points and 12 rebounds, helping add scoring that they desperately need without Cousins. Davis had another big game on Valentines Day, scoring 42 points to lead his team to a 139-117 victory over the Lakers. There was a bit of excitement with Rajon Rondo and Isaiah Thomas, with the two former Celtics players getting ejected. There’s history there, with Rondo criticizing Thomas and the organization for honoring a player that didn’t win a championship in Boston, and they obviously went after each other in the game.
