NBA Power Rankings: All-Star shots, passes, dunks, and games
By Daniel Lewis
The Jazz picked up their third win of the season over the Spurs, winning Monday night 101-99 behind a clutch game from Donovan Mitchell and a throwback performance by Derrick Favors. Favors caught fire in the fourth, especially on defense, and Rudy Gobert deferred to his teammate as the Jazz were able to pick up another win. The Jazz had trailed by 13 points in the fourth quarter, but Mitchell scored eight points in the final three minutes to cap the rally. Things were much easier in their final game of the week, with the team rising up in the fourth quarter to secure a 107-97 win over the Phoenix Suns to extend their winning streak to 11 games. Jae Crowder had 12 points in the fourth, and their defense allowed the Suns to make just one field goal over the final 2:40 minutes of the game. They were able to show off their rookie, Mitchell, in the slam dunk competition, with the former Louisville Cardinal taking home the title.
