4. New York Jets

If Butler doesn’t want to move on to Buffalo, he can maybe head on over to another team in New York to play for the New York Jets.

Just like with the Bills, the appetizing option of playing against your old team twice a year in a huge rivalry matchup would be a big reason to move elsewhere inside of the AFC East. However, just like in Buffalo, the Jets are looking to replace a big name that recently left their secondary: Darrelle Revis.

Ironically, Butler had the chance to learn from Revis in New England a few years back in the 2014 season, and was the key reason Revis finally got a ring onto his resume as a part of the Super Bowl XLIX roster. Now, he could have the chance to go bring back that same force to the Jets secondary that used to be there in the days of Revis, Cromartie and company roaming the field.

Butler could provide some useful experience to the Jets’ secondary, and could help them begin a rebuild to get them back to potential success in the AFC East. The team’s issues run a lot deeper than the defense, but signing Butler with the amount of cap space they have could be a useful start on things.

Butler wouldn’t be heading to the Miami Dolphins, so the Bills and Jets prove to be the two key options for the former Patriots corner if he wants to gain some immediate revenge on the same coach that benched him in this year’s Super Bowl.
