4. Offensive Tackle

The Chargers offensive line has been a problem for some time now. Russell Okung played well enough as Los Angeles’ starting left tackle in 2017. As it stands now, there is no reason to challenge Okung for his starting spot. Right tackle is another story though. Forest Lamp is best at guard, but could move to right tackle if needed to push Joe Barksdale.

Barksdale also could play guard if needed, so really the best answer to this quandary is finding a true starting tackle to line up opposite Okung. The free agent tackle class is very thin, but unlike a year ago, there are several highly-intriguing tackles that should go in the first two rounds of this draft that would fit the bill.

Michael Schofield also saw significant snaps last year, but was highly ineffective and has an expiring contract as well.
