What did Chiefs get in Marcus Peters trade?

The Kansas City Chiefs dealt an All-Pro cornerback in Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, but what did Kansas City get back?

On Friday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs shocked the football world and traded Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams. The deal was first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, with numerous people following up on the story.

Peters, 25, is one of the most talented players in the NFL. In three years, Peters have caused more turnovers (25) than any other player in the league, earning a First-Team and Second-Team All-Pro seasons, along with a pair of Pro Bowl berths.

The remaining question is what did the Chiefs get back from the Rams? We don’t know the story yet on that end, but if Kansas City doesn’t get Los Angeles’ first-round selection (23rd-overall) it would get even more interesting. The Rams don’t have their second-round pick, which was traded away in the Jared Goff sweepstakes.

The report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says that Kansas City got multiple picks back from the Rams, although it’s uncertain what he got back. The Chiefs might be looking to get a first and then some, but Los Angeles could have leveraged a small market for Peters to get a sweeter deal.
