5. D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland

Why he’s on this list

A Draft Twitter favorite, Moore will have plenty to prove in Indianapolis. Is he actually 5’11 or is he really 5’9 7/8? Does he have the deep speed to be a dynamic, down-the-field threat like Stefon Diggs, a player often comped to Moore? And does he have the suddenness to develop into a better route runner than he’s shown on tape at Maryland?

What he needs to do

After the measurement part—like Ward, Moore has to hope he’s a legitimate 5’11 and even that will hurt him with some teams— the former Terapin standout must show he has the athleticism to play in the slot. He’s not big or long enough with enough contested catch ability to play outside, which means he better be lightening quick and be able to run the option routes from the slot that require precise footwork and change of direction skill.

That means 3-cone and short shuttle times will be critical for him.
