The Seattle Seahawks missed the playoffs for the first time since 2011 last season, as they just could not overcome injuries to their Legion of Boom defense. One area where they need no help in at the quarterback position, where Russell Wilson played at an MVP level despite running for his life nearly every play. If the Seahawks want to get back to the playoffs, they have to be better up front, and this draft class can help them do just that.

Ever since stepping on campus at Texas, Connor Williams has been one of the better offensive tackles in college football. He will make the jump to the NFL in April, and should be one of the top tackles taken in the first round. He has the size and strength to stay on the left side of the line, and the Seahawks could use a long-term solution at the left tackle position.

Last year, the Seahawks traded for Houston Texans tackle Duane Brown at the trade deadline, but he is not the long-term answer. This Seahawks team is in a bit of a transition, as they lost a lot of their coaching staff already this offseason. Williams could bring some stability to the team’s offensive line, and allow them to focus on filling some other holes over the next couple of rounds of the draft.
