Jordan Bell has already begun to turn heads in the NBA as a rookie for the Golden State Warriors with his play, and now he plans to with his kicks.

Jordan Bell started off the season on pace for a stellar rookie campaign before a sprained ankle sidelined Bell on Jan. 17. He was averaging 14.4 minutes per game and starting in 11-of-39 games for the Warriors posting a solid 5.1 points per game for the defending NBA Champions before missing the last 12 games.

Bell has often provided a spark this season and adds youth for Head Coach Steve Kerr’s team and with a return to action Monday night, Bell had the glow on his feet. Designed by artist Kickstradomis, Bell took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the sneakers that pay homage to DragonBall Z character, Vegeta.

Bell, known for his raw athleticism and high-flying dunks is attempting to tap into the Super Saiyan universe for his next act. The NBA is known for allowing its players to express their personalities crossing over into pop culture at many junctions attributing to a surge in popularity by becoming a topic of its own, particularly in discussions within the Twitter-sphere on #NBATwitter.

The NFL could take a page from the NBA in the marketing of its stars — NFL players over the years have donned some sweet cleats that are custom designed, but the NFL only allows such footwear outside of black, white, or primary/secondary team colors to be worn during pregame warmups.

Kickstradomis has also completed Dragonball Z designs for fellow rookie who the Chicago Bulls did not trade on draft night, Lauri Markkanen and Minnesota Timberwolves Center, Karl Anthony Towns just to name a few in the association

A fair assessment is that Bell will be rusty in the coming games, but he will have no shortage of confidence in the fashion department, his choice of design and character can only be described as “kicks on fleek.”

The Warriors will be watching Bell’s progress and monitoring his play post-injury for the remainder of the year while I suspect a lot of us could be monitoring the kicks.

“Next time on Dragon Ball Z . . .”
