DraftKings European League Basketball Picks March 2

More from DraftKings

We only have three games to finish off round 24. There are less elite options today, but some of the biggest names in the Euro League are in action. We also have some decent value. Let’s take a look!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

Guards:

Luka Doncic is easily the best pick today. He put up 49.5 DraftKings points in the first game against Fenerbahce this season. However, we don’t know if Doncic will even start or not. The newly-minted 19 year old is going to be a hot commodity in the NBA soon, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t learning humility in the Euro League. I really don’t like the matchup for Nick Calathes, so if you move off of Doncic, Taylor Rochestie is the best pivot option.

Nemanja Nedovic is out this round once again, so Ray McCallum is a nice pick. For you value hunters, Dragan Milosavljevic should see a nice uptick in minutes for Unicaja in this one as well.

I don’t know how much I trust the Real Madrid backcourt right now. Luka Doncic struggled last round, and Facundo Campazzo had a great round. I see Doncic returning to the bench, which makes him a bit of a risk. Campazzo could be a safer pick, but with far less upside.

Mike James picked up 28 DraftKings points in his return to the Euro League. I would even use him here in a tough matchup against Olympiacos for his value price. That destroys the value of Nikos Pappas. Other favorite value picks Marko Guduric and Kostas Sloukas have tough matchups. Jaycee Carroll is my other value pick for today.

PHOENIX, AZ – DECEMBER 23: Kostas Papanikolaou #16 of the Denver Nuggets looks to pass under pressure from Ronnie Price #14 and P.J. Forwards:

Jan Vesely has played well over the last two rounds, but he struggled against Real Madrid in the first meeting. The return of Gustavo Ayon could exacerbate that. Ayon put up 26.5 DraftKings points in 22 minutes in his return in round 23. I think I would take the consistency of Ayon over Vesely despite the tougher matchup.

James Augustine and Georgios Printezis should not be considered as steps down today. Both are playing well right now, and both have nice matchups today. Kostas Papanikolaou is in the same grouping, but I prefer to find the extra $500 for Printezis.

Mathias Lessort has put up back to back 30 DraftKings point rounds. He has another nice matchup here today against Unicaja. Lessort is a touch out of the top tier, but he could produce with those priced higher today.

Past bargain darlings Jeff Brooks and Adam Waczynski are struggling, but have great matchups today. That will lure a lot of people back in. To me, Nemanja Dangubic is far more consistent, and his matchup is nearly as good. The only place lower than this that I would go is Carlos Suarez. Suarez has eight straight rounds of between 13 and 18 DraftKings points. You know what you are going to get!
