4. Alan Pardew sacked after loss to Watford

When West Brom announced Alan Pardew would take over from Tony Pulis, it came as a surprise to many. The former Crystal Palace manager hasn’t had much success in the Premier League and he hardly seemed fit to lead a relegation-threatened club to safety.

Those who doubted West Brom’s decision were absolutely right, as the Baggies are now sitting rock bottom of the Premier League and facing the drop for the first time in eight years.

This weekend the Baggies travel to Vicarage Road in a game against Watford that could decide Pardew’s future at the club. If the English manager doesn’t get a win this weekend, there’s every chance West Brom will turn to someone new to try and save their season.

Watford’s season started off brightly but it faltered with the sacking of Marco Silva. The Hornets will be safe this season, though, and despite a long injury list they’ve managed to remain in the top half of the table.

The Baggies have lost their last five and Watford will know they can take all three points at the weekend. If they do, Pardew will get the axe and a new manager will be tasked with saving West Brom’s Premier League life.
