Kenny Vaccaro rumors: Top 3 landing spots
A former first-round pick of the New Orleans Saints, safety Kenny Vaccaro is hitting the market as an intriguing name to watch.
Nobody argues that Kenny Vaccaro can be one of the better safeties in the league. Unfortunately, Vaccaro has been bitten by the injury bug throughout his five-year career with the New Orleans Saints. Only 2015 saw the former University of Texas star play in all 16 games. He was also suspended for four games due to PED use in 2016.
Last year, the 27-year-old was limited to 12 games but made his impact known, intercepting three passes as the Saints won the NFC South. However, New Orleans has decided to go in a different direction, signing Kurt Coleman in February, leaving Vaccaro to test the free-agent market for the first time.
Best fits
1. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts have a hoard of cap space and have needs across the defense. Malik Hooker was on his way to a fantastic rookie campaign before tearing ligaments in his right knee. With Hooker on the mend, bringing Vaccaro into the fold would be a prudent move by general manager Chris Ballard.
2. Cleveland Browns
Cleveland has more money to work with than any other team in the league, and after going winless a season ago, can obviously improve across the board. Vaccaro is in the prime of his career and would provide a steady, veteran hand in the back end of the defense. If the Browns are going to improve, they need to begin focusing on making the defense a true strength.

3. Detroit Lions
Detroit has the makings of an interesting defense. The Lions retained Ezekiel Ansah on the franchise tag, and the secondary already has Glover Quin and Darius Slay. Adding Vaccaro to the mix would be an intriguing fit in a division that might be adding Kirk Cousins in short order.
