NBA Power Rankings: Utah Jazz leap into the top-5
By Daniel Lewis
The Nets were able to pick up a nice win, showing some grit by holding on to a double-digit lead against the Mavericks thanks to 45 combined points from Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and De’Angelo Russell. They managed to lose the other two games they played this week, securing a spot in the bottom-five of these power rankings. It also needs to be pointed out how well DeMarre Carroll is playing lately as well. The veteran forward is averaging nearly a double-double in their last few games, with 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. With him and RHJ able to secure defensive rebounds, it bodes well for their future as a team that wants to spread the ball and play an offense that can put up a ton of points from the perimeter.
