19. St. Louis Blues (+1)

The St Louis Blues are a team that just will not die. All season long they have battled injuries to important players, but they are still hanging around the playoffs. As of today, they are sitting three points back with a game in hand on everyone in front of them in the wild card race. Looking at the injury report, there should be no chance the Blues are even in the playoff conversation. Besides the injuries, they have had to play with Jake Allen in net who has been underwhelming, to say the least. If the Blues limp into the playoffs and get some pieces back, they could be a tough out.

The Blues were able to put together a nice, but a stressful week of games. They started strong beating the Anaheim Ducks, lost to the Colorado Avalanche and then had back to back overtime wins over the New York Rangers and the Chicago Blackhawks. They will need to be even tougher this week as they face big challenges in the Eastern Conference with the Boston Bruins, who are pushing for the top seed in the Atlantic Division and the red-hot Columbus Blue Jackets. They will get a break in between games as they get to play the Vancouver Canucks at home.
