123. . Defensive Tackle. Alabama. Da'Ron Payne. 19. player

The Dallas Cowboys had one of the more disappointing seasons in the NFL last season, as they failed to make the playoffs. While this organization has been down for some time now, they were coming off a year that saw them finish with the best regular season record in the NFC. Last season, they saw their star running back get suspended for six games, and that really affected any chance they had to return to the playoffs.

As they head to next season, they still have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball. They will have Ezekiel Elliott back for a full season, and quarterback Dak Prescott continues to grow into the role. On defense, they got great play from their young secondary last season, and should now focus up front on defense with their first round pick in 2018.

One player who should be available at No. 19 is Da’Ron Payne, a versatile defensive lineman from Alabama. Payne played a big role in the last two national titles for the Crimson Tide, and has the talent to be a disrupting force in year one. He has great feet for a big guy, and the way he gets pressure in the middle of the defense is something the Cowboys need in a tough NFC East next season.
