College GameDay headed to the 2018 NFL Draft in Dallas is so awesome
College GameDay is headed to the NFL Draft for the first time ever.
They’re comin’ to your citayyy!
Yes, we’re still a little more than five months away from College GameDay returning to campus for the 2018 college football season, but we’ll get a special edition of the popular ESPN show at the NFL Draft.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso and the whole gang will be in Dallas for a fun and long overdue twist to the NFL Draft. Why should the NFL guys get all the fun when the college analysts and broadcasters have watched their entire careers and get shut out of the conversation?
I’m excited to see Corso put on the headgear of the school for the prospect he predicts will be the No. 1 pick. I can’t wait for Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollock to discuss some of the memorable moments, games and highlights from players like Saquon Barkley, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and all of the top prospects who figure to dominate the NFL Draft conversation.
In addition to College GameDay being at the draft, this year marks the year the coverage has exploded to unseen lengths. Not only will ESPN and the NFL Network broadcast all seven rounds of the draft. But FOX will broadcast the first three rounds and ABC will carry the last four rounds. For the first time ever all seven rounds of the NFL Draft will be televised on broadcast TV.
Next: Biggest question facing every Top 25 team in spring camp
I’m probably gonna stick to NFL Network for my draft coverage, but not until after I see Rece, Herbie and the Coach on GameDay. I hope they’ll do their picks like they do at the end of every show and scroll through the Browns, Giants, Jets and the rest of the teams picking in the top 10 so we can see who they think will go in those spots and how they’ll fare with that team.
