5. P.J. Savoy  |  Florida State (#5)

The first name on the list is without a doubt the most conscience-free shooter in the tournament — not just of the teams left, from when it started.

Savoy launches a whopping 20.7 3s per 100 possessions — far and away the highest rate you’re going to come across from a rotation player. He makes 7.8 threes per 100 possessions, at a 37.8 percent clip.

In 227 minutes last season, Savoy fired up a truly astounding 24.3 threes per 100 possessions — and made 40 percent of them (9.7). He scored 37.6 points per 100 possessions, but was stuck behind a deep group of talent in Tallahassee.

Savoy had a cold shooting start to this season and fell out of the regular rotation. He finally found playing time in a Jan. 13 win over Syracuse that saw him drain three 3-pointers and score 11 points in 17 minutes, but he then missed the next four weeks with a knee sprain.

He worked his way back and has earned Leonard Hamilton’s and the team’s trust again. In his past 10 games (starting with Syracuse), Savoy is averaging 19 minutes per game and converting 41.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.

It was Savoy who hit the go-ahead 3-pointer for FSU with 1:08 left to knock off No. 1 seed Xavier in the second round on Sunday. He has now made at least three 3-pointers in four straight games. Expect that trend to continue against Gonzaga, as well as next year (Savoy’s senior season) when fellow sweet-shooting wing Braian Angola departs.
