Third Round

Denver needs to get more dynamic at the running back position if the Broncos want to help out Keenum initially and Rosen eventually. It would be ideal for the Broncos to take one of the many talented running backs that will be available in the third round. Sony Michel out of Georgia at No. 71 could be the pick here.

Michel is 5-foot-11, 214 pounds. He ran a 4.54 40-yard dash and put up 22 reps at 225 in the combine. In four years in Athens, Michel had 590 carries for 3,613 yards and 33 touchdowns. As a receiver, Michel had 64 career receptions for 621 yards and six touchdowns. His multi-faceted abilities out of the backfield could make him a great starter in the NFL for a long time.

Frankly, Denver needs to get more explosive on offense at the skill positions. It’s not like Peyton Manning is walking through the door or something. Then again, Josh Rosen could be really good and 2017 Case Keenum could be here to stay. Regardless, let’s have the Broncos take Memphis Tigers wideout Anthony Miller here at No. 99 in the third round.

Miller is 5-foot-11, 201 pounds. In three years at Memphis, Miller had 238 receptions for 3,590 yards and 37 touchdowns. He did have Paxton Lynch throwing him the ball as a freshman in 2015. His signal caller the last two years in Riley Ferguson should be drafted this year as well. Miller could be a good get for Denver at the end of round three.
