Julius Randle got married this summer and apparently some of his Nick Young stepped over the line with his toast.

The Los Angeles Lakers are finally starting to see what their future could potentially look like in a season where the team is outperforming preseason expectations.

A huge reason for the Lakers improvement is Julius Randle, who is having the best season of his young career. However, it was a pair of former teammates who stole the show at his wedding. This past summer, Randle got married to Kendra Shaw, who he met in college. And during the wedding, both Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson shared some unwarranted thoughts during the reception, according to the L.A. Times.

After Clarkson told a story about not liking Randle because of the competition on the Texas prep scene, Young, caught between the intersection of alcohol and Swaggy P, swayed a bit further away than Randle’s friends and family would have liked.

"“There were times when me and Jordan were saying we were trying to take him to a strip club,” Young said, recalling his speech this week. “And he didn’t go.”The crowd laughed.“He was a good one.”"

Randle was forced to take the microphone away from his two teammates to keep them from adding any more stories that could potentially cause a problem in his new marriage.

Two more former teammates, Larry Nance and Tarik Black also spoke at the wedding, but Randle said that “they gave more mature speeches” than Clarkson and Young.

Despite the Lakers clear improvement from the last few seasons, it’s not clear whether the Lakers will be able to retain Randle’s services this summer. He’s becoming a coveted target in free agency. Although he’s a restricted free agent, the Lakers are ostensibly looking to bring in one of the stars of this year’s class, which could mean an unwillingness from the franchise to match any offer that Randle receives.
