2018 NFL Mock Draft: Sam Darnold goes to Browns
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills join the Cleveland Browns as the only two teams who will pick twice in the first round in April. While they moved up to draft their quarterback at No. 12 in our mock draft, they should spend the No. 22 overall pick on an offensive lineman. Many believe that Connor Williams is the best offensive tackle in this draft class, and the Bills need one after trading away Cordy Glenn.
Williams has been a stud since stepping on campus at Texas, and has had the distinction of one of the best offensive tackles in college football over the last few seasons. The Bills were a playoff team last season, and adding a player like Williams actually makes them better up front on offense. LeSean McCoy is still a phenomenal running back, and if they can get a legitimate quarterback early in round one, they should get back to the playoffs.
Buffalo plays in the AFC East, and that has been property of the New England Patriots since Tom Brady took over as quarterback of the team. However, the Bills are building something very special, and they should be the second-best team in the division next season. Head coach Sean McDermott has them trending in the right direction, and having two first round picks in April is certainly going to help improve the roster.
