Is Charley Hoffman playing in The Masters 2018?
By John Buhler

Charley Hoffman certainly got off to a hot start in Augusta last year. Will this be the year he wins The Masters? Will Hoffman even be playing this weekend?
The 2018 Masters Tournament will be in full effect this week down in Augusta, Georgia at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club. Last year saw Spain’s Sergio Garcia win his first-ever major tournament. He outlasted England’s Justin Rose in sudden death to win the green jacket. One golfer that had his own levels of success in Augusta a year ago was Charley Hoffman.
Will Hoffman be playing in the 2018 Masters? Absolutely, as he wouldn’t want another shot at winning the green jacket. Hoffman was the early leader of the pack in last year’s tournament. Hoffman was in the mix to contend for the championship heading into the final day. Again, this is very much a memory course, so hopefully the good vibes from last year continue for Hoffman.
Hoffman will be in a grouping with Patrick Reed and Adam Hadwin. They will take to the tee box at 11:15 a.m. ET on Thursday, April 5. The trio will begin their second round of action on Friday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. ET. That would in theory make them the final pairing in round two of the 2018 Masters.
To date, Hoffman has never won a major. However, he did finish in the top-10 at Augusta back in 2015. His best major performance to date came in the 2017 U.S. Open, where he came in eighth place. If Hoffman can channel all that was good for him a year ago, he could be in the mix to forever be associated with the greatest golf tournament the PGA Tour has to offer. Here’s to Hoffman getting it done in a very deep field this year.
