Liverpool face Manchester City at Anfield on Wednesday, April 4 in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg. Here’s the info you need to watch.
The run of success that Manchester City have had throughout the 2017-18 campaign has been incredible. Their level of dominance in the Premier League is near unprecedented. However, a trophy at home would look much better next to a Champions League trophy as well. To get there, they’ll next have to get past Liverpool in the quarterfinals, with the first leg being played on Wednesday at Anfield.
It’s hard to do anything to stop Manchester City this season. Whether it’s Sergio Aguero finding the back of the net up top, Kevin De Bruyne in the midfield setting thing up, or a strong overall defense, they have been nigh untouchable throughout the season. And you have to think that they like their chances against another Premier League side given their success in the league this year.
As for Liverpool, they’ve been up-and-down, hot-and-cold for much of the season. Really, that’s been the story for long before just this season. This team could really come up big in big moments with the talent they have at the club, but they have to execute. Now, the question is if they’re able to do that in this fixture.
